Sue started her career in television at LWT. After becoming Head of Production in Current Affairs, then Head of Production in Entertainment, she was appointed Controller of Production Management and a Board Director of LWTP, following the 1995 Granada takeover of LWT. In this role, Sue oversaw all production processes and budgets for Currents Affairs & Factual, Entertainment, Drama, and Arts.

In 1996, Sue managed the set-up of Talk TV - one of the first GSB (Granada Satellite Broadcasting) channels. She then went on to manage a number of projects for Pearson TV - not least, their later re-branding as FremantleMedia, but also the prior move of all Pearson subsidiaries into their new HQ in Stephen Street, W1; post merger and acquisition of All American and Talkback Productions; interim worldwide HR; and then the complete re-organisation, fit-out and move of all floors within the Stephen Street premises. Sue was appointed Head of Property Management, a role in which she was responsible for all budget reviews, the organisation and management of the building, and establishment and growth of relationships with the landlord, sub-tenants and other third parties.

Having co-founded The Back Office, and seen it grow into a successful project management company, Sue went on to set up Treehouse Projects in 2011.
